In collaboration with SFU’s Canadian Institute for Studies in Publishing and the Electronic Textual Cultures Lab / Digital Humanities Summer Institute at the University of Victoria, the fifth PKP scholarly publishing conference will be an opportunity for participants to engage on the topics related to building open infrastructure and programs for digital humanities, publishing, and libraries.

Confirmed keynote speakers:

  • John Maxwell, Canadian Institute for Studies in Publishing at Simon Fraser University
  • Miriam Posner, Digital Humanities at the University of California, Los Angeles
  • Ray Siemens, Humanities Computing and Humanities at the University of Victoria
  • John Willinsky, Education at Stanford University, Publishing Studies at Simon Fraser University

Invited speakers include:

  • Juan Pablo Alperin, Publishing Studies and PKP at Simon Fraser University
  • Alyssa Arbuckle, Electronics Textual Cultures Lab (ETCL) at University of Victoria

PKP 2015 will see a revised format from past year’s conferences, with a greater variety of workshops, development sprints, community consultations, a single track of lightning talks and invited speakers, and committee meetings. Our goal is to make the conference more engaging and useful than ever for our diverse and growing community. See the preliminary conference program for more information.

A promising array of lightning talks has been accepted so far, but there is still time to submit your proposal! The deadline for submissions is May 18.
