PKP Publishing Services (PKP|PS) is the professional support division of the Public Knowledge Project (PKP), a core research facility at Simon Fraser University. Since 2007, PKP Publishing Services has been providing clients with expert service and support for Open Journal Systems (OJS), Open Monograph Press (OMP), and Open Preprint Systems (OPS).
While all of the software developed by PKP is free to download, use, and modify, PKP|PS offers turnkey solutions that allow you to manage, publish, and disseminate research without the technical headache of software installation, bug fixes, or upgrades.
We provide support, training, and development to over 400 clients that use OJS, OMP, and OPS. They maintain complete control over their site, branding, publication, and day-to-day editorial activity while we take care of the hosting, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
Working with us is about more than receiving expert service and support from the developers of these platforms. All revenue from our services goes directly back into development of PKP software and services, which we provide for free to the scholarly community. When you work with us, you are supporting open source software development that benefits everyone involved in scholarly communication.
Our Team
Our team is made up of scholarly publishing specialists, librarians, systems administrators, and developers with many years of experience installing, upgrading, migrating, supporting, and developing OJS, OMP, and OPS. We provide timely answers to your support questions and facilitate in-depth training sessions on how to use our software. We live all over the world (with approximately half our team in Canada) and speak English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Russian, and Japanese. We offer a breadth of knowledge, expertise, and passion for open access, accessibility, metadata, and much more.
