Raising the profile of PKP in your local community

In addition to the contributor pathways mentioned above, we welcome initiatives that raise the profile of PKP by facilitating connections and Communities of Practice in your regional communities.

You may wish to:

  • Connect with other OJS users locally via the PKP Community Forum’s Regional Networks channel by selecting the appropriate region from the subcategories and starting a discussion. If you do not see your region represented in our subcategories, please follow the steps on the channel About page to contact our team.
  • Host a local event to bring together local experts or those interested and invested in PKP software. Such an event might consist of a speaker series or conference, a documentation or coding sprint, or an informal discussion group. You are welcome to use our Beacon data to find OJS users in your community.

While PKP is regretfully not able to provide oversight or contribute resources towards these proposed initiatives, we would love to hear from you to learn about upcoming events you may be hosting, and can usually arrange to cross-promote these through our channels. We would also love to hear about your successes, discussion topics and/or sprint projects, and any lessons learned from these events once they are completed.

Have you been successful in raising the profile of PKP in your local community? We would love to hear from you! Please contact us.
