PKP shares the webinar recording and slides from the January 23rd webinar on its work for Open Research Europe (ORE), and invites communities to the next Development News Update Webinar.
PKP’s Open Journal Systems (OJS) was chosen to underpin the European Commission’s (EC) open access publishing platform, Open Research Europe (ORE), earlier in 2024. Last December, PKP shared a preview of development priorities for Open Journal Systems (OJS), as it will underpin ORE in 2026. These developments are also in-line with wider OJS community needs.
On January 23rd, 2025, more than 100 people were registered for the Advancing Open Publishing for ORE webinar. Participants included librarians, journal editors and publishers, researchers, infrastructure supporters, strategic partners, contributors, developers, and open access advocates. Folks are clearly excited about the European Commission’s transition to open infrastructure for open publishing, what this means for all users of OJS, and the choice of PKP software to underpin ORE!
