The new Coalition Publica website
Building on its growing international recognition, Coalition Publica, the partnership between Érudit and the Public Knowledge Project (PKP), has launched a new website and refreshed visual identity. These updates reflect our evolution and will support our mission to strengthen research dissemination and digital scholarly publishing in Canada for years to come.

Coalition Publica, in partnership with the Student Journal Forum, is pleased to announce this year’s grants for student journal editors. Do you know students who are part of the editorial team of an undergraduate or graduate student-run journal, who might benefit from a grant to develop new skills and capacity? Share this application! Applications are due by April 12th, 2026.

Advancing Diamond
We are pleased that the Coalition Publica event on “Advancing Diamond”, April 15 – 16 2026, is full! The event’s importance lies in bringing together stakeholders and consolidating momentum around diamond open access as a dominant and equitable model in Canada, helping align institutions, libraries, and journals toward sustainable support systems that reinforce and advance the country’s leadership in this space.

CFI 2026 National Research Facilities Workshop
Tanja Niemann, Executive Director of Érudit, and co-lead within the senior leadership of Coalition Publica, moderated a timely Day 1 panel at the Canada Foundation for Innovation / Fondation canadienne pour l’innovation 2026 National Research Facilities Workshop with colleagues involved in Canada’s Major Scientific Initiatives.
The panel discussion on Fighting misinformation and mistrust in science: The potential of robust major scientific infrastructure explored the role of national research infrastructure in combating misinformation and mistrust in science. The panel sparked lively conversation and helped cement Coalition Publica’s position as an important advocate for Canadian infrastructure committed to an internationalist approach. — Urooj Nizami, PKP Community Engagement and Outreach Associate Director
The panelists included Natalie Harrower, Executive Director, Canadian Research Data Centre Network (CRDCN), Rob Annan, President and CEO, Genome Canada, and Frédéric Bouchard, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and Professor at the Department of Philosophy of the Université de Montréal and Chair of Board of Directors, Érudit.
Coalition Publica, a partnership between Érudit and the Public Knowledge Project, is one of nineteen nationally significant research facilities supported through ongoing operating and maintenance funding by the Canada Foundation for Innovation / Fondation canadienne pour l’innovation.
