Q1 2024 Docs Hub Updates

📄 Quicksubmit Guide for Back Issues: A guide to using the QuickSubmit plugin to add previously published content to OJS, by Patricia Mangahis and Mike Nason

While the basics of the QuickSubmit plugin are described in Learning OJS 3.3, this guide assists users who want to use the tool for previously published content.

This includes considerations like accurate publication dates, content with DOIs, and disabling certain metadata fields (such as abstracts and contributor emails).

📄 PKP Help Guide: A guide to using PKP’s help resources to answer questions and troubleshoot issues, by Roger Gillis

PKP endeavors to provide plenty of documentation, instruction, and support through various venues. It can be challenging for users to know exactly where to check for potential solutions.

This guide will help you find those solutions! It assists users with finding the best place to research their specific question and guides them through the process of narrowing their search for answers.

📄 DOI Plugin Guide: Updated to clarify difference in DOI assignment between versions, by Mike Nason with updates by Emma Uhl

The DOI Plugin Guide has been revamped to be slightly streamlined. The guide also clarifies the different procedures for assigning DOIs between 3.1, 3.2, and 3.3 versions of the software.

The guide includes a procedural walkthrough of exactly where in the publishing workflow DOIs can and should be assigned.

The DOI workflow has changed many times in the history of our software development. We are working to streamline all DOI-related instructions and to clarify the process for each version of the software.

Thank you to the community-driven Documentation Interest Group, and happy scholarly publishing independence, all!
