The infographic includes a map of Germany and the following data: 43 participants, 6 projects, and 19 institutions.

The blog post is a round up summary about the PKP Hannover Sprint.

Sprints involve PKP community members joining diverse groups to work on PKP software and support. During the first two days of the Sprint, the 43 participants worked on six different topics that the community has identified as relevant for the improvement and documentation of the software.

On the third day the participants, coming from 19 different institutions, attended a presentation of updates on the CRAFT-OA project.

In case you missed each group’s update, the following list includes links to each summary where you can learn more about the discussions and results achieved during the event.

Group 1. Online first / Continuous Publication

This group worked on identifying and collecting use cases for online first and continuous publication models to select one to prioritize for OJS.

Group 2. Metadata

The second group worked in proposing a preflight check process for metadata that comes out of OJS.

Group 3. Stamping journal/press identity in article publications

This group identified the need to make the context identity metadata (i.e., journal title, ISSN, publisher) part of the publication metadata and have a process where this data is stamped to the publication object and fetched without using data directly from the context settings.

Group 4. XML- Metopes CRAFT/OA

The fourth group’s work focused on testing OJS Métopes TEI to JATS integration and documenting the workflow to contribute to identifying the requirements for XML Publishing and the landscape.

Group 5. Easy Containers for OxS

The group wants to reflect on the real potential of this technology in the PKP community, test the existing images in different platforms (Linux / Mac / Windows),  improve the existing documentation and tools to facilitate the start-up with containers, and make recommendations for use.

Group 6. Documentation

The group was divided in three subgroups that worked in different topics related to PKP Software documentation.
