
PKP and Charutar Vidya Mandal (CVM) University are pleased to invite you to an Open Journal Systems (OJS) workshop on December 8th, 2023, aimed at academics, editors, librarians, IT professionals, and open access promoters in the region. Objectives
- To introduce participants to the OJS platform and help them understand its features, functionalities, and benefits with a comprehensive overview;
- Empower journal editors and publishers by teaching them how to set up, manage and customize, their own journals using OJS;
- Encourage participants to use OJS to improve the quality of published scholarly content;
- Emphasize how OJS can help streamline the peer review process, and enhance the visibility of their OJS publications.
Facilitators
Devika Goel, PKP UX/UI Designer, Mumbai, India.
Devika joined PKP in 2022 as a UX/UI designer with concentration on design and user research, user experience, interface design, usability testing and design analysis.
Patricia Mangahis, PKP Client Services Manager, British Columbia, Canada.
Patricia joined PKP in 2019. She has a Master of Publishing degree from SFU and has worked with scholarly journals for the past seven years.
Emma Uhl, PKP Documentation & Multilingual Specialist, Alberta, Canada.
Emma joined PKP in 2020, originally as Publication Support Specialist, and is now Documentation and Multilingual Specialist. She has Master of Library and Information Sciences degree.

Target audience: Participants in a workshop on OJS should include academic scholars, journal editors, librarians, IT professionals, and open access promoters interested in mastering OJS for efficient OJS journal management, and open access publishing.
