On July 25th of this year, the State Scientific and Technical Library of Ukraine together with the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) invites you to discuss digital solutions for the management of scientific journals, focusing on the advantages of Open Journal Systems (OJS) as free and open source software for independent scholarly journal publishing.
The webinar is divided into two thematic blocks: in the first, PKP representatives will introduce the capabilities of the OJS platform, new solutions for users, and participants will be able to ask questions about various aspects of using the specified software solution.
Speakers at this panel will be:

University Research Associate at Simon Fraser University and Khosla Family Professor of Education at Stanford University; - Vitaliy Bezsheiko, Software Developer, Workflow Lead, PKP / Presenter
The second block is represented by Ukrainian scientists responsible for publishing scientific journals on the PKP platform:
- Yuliya Glavcheva, Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Sciences, Director of the Scientific and Technical Library of KhPI National Technical University. Yuliya has 20 years of practical experience in the implementation of information technologies in library work. Actively engaged in professional and scientific activities in the field of computer sciences and information technologies (scientometrics, information technologies in libraries, formation of information resources and their integration).
- Since 2012, Yuliya has been managing the implementation of OJS in the work of scientific publications of NTU “KhPI” on the part of the library. At the moment, this system is used by 24 university scientific publications.
- The journal of NTU “Khpi” “Electrical engineering and electromechanics” (OJS) is indexed in Scopus and WoS.
- Oksana Pnivska, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Head of the Scientific and Organizational Department of the National Antarctic Research Center of Ukraine. The UAJ journal is indexed in Scopus.
- Hanna Kharlamova, doctor of economics, deputy director of the Coordination Center from the publication “Bulletin of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University.”
