PKP is excited to celebrate International Open Access Week, a global, community-driven week of action to open up access to research. We’re honouring this year’s theme—Open For Climate Justice—by highlighting examples of open scholarship published on our open source software platforms.
“This year’s focus on Climate Justice seeks to encourage connection and collaboration among the climate movement and the international open community. Sharing knowledge is a human right, and tackling the climate crisis requires the rapid exchange of knowledge across geographic, economic, and disciplinary boundaries.” – SPARC, 2022
At PKP our values deeply align with those of Open Access Week, which is “an invaluable chance to connect the global momentum toward the open sharing of knowledge with the advancement of policy changes and the importance of social issues affecting people around the world.”
To celebrate Open Access Week, we’ve put together a collection of climate-related open scholarship published using PKP’s open source publishing platforms: Open Journal Systems and Open Monograph Press. We invite you to explore these examples of open scholarship from around the world which contribute valuable knowledge to help tackle the crucial climate crisis.
