Be the Early Bird! Register Now for PKP 2019
Early registration is now open for PKP 2019, our Seventh International Scholarly Publishing Conference November 20-22, 2019 at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). We’re very excited for this year’s conference, which is shaping up to be an exciting week of events in beautiful Barcelona.
If you haven’t yet marked your calendars, now is the time to do it. You won’t want to miss our lineup of keynote speakers: John Willinsky (PKP/Stanford), Reme Melero (CSIC), Ignasi Labastida (Universitat de Barcelona), Katherine Skinner (Educopia), Tara Robertson (Mozilla), and Abel Packer (SciELO). And this year we have not one, but six OJS workshops planned (two in Spanish). If this doesn’t have you convinced, we’ve got five more reasons why PKP 2019 is where it’s at. Check all that apply:
- You use Open Journal Systems (OJS) and/or Open Monograph Press (OMP).
- You live for all things open access.
- You want to meet like-minded people also working in scholarly publishing.
- You want to contribute/support/learn more about open infrastructure.
- Any of the above + you want to visit Barcelona.
Still not convinced? Stay tuned – we’ve got a five-part blog series coming that will have you registered by the end of the summer. We also suggest you check out our website, pkpbcn19.net, to learn more. Don’t think on it too long though – early bird rates end September 13, 2019.
Submitted a proposal? Submissions will be notified mid-August with our preliminary program completed by August 31, 2019.
