Community Feedback Request: Open Conference Systems

September 27th, 2016 by  | 3 Comments

PKP is currently assessing the future development of Open Conference Systems (OCS).

Our focus on Open Journal Systems (OJS) and Open Monograph Press (OMP) has resulted in less development for OCS over the past few years. We are now deciding whether to return to enhancing OCS, to continue keeping it “on hold”, or to step away from any future development completely.

To help guide our decision-making, we have put together a brief survey to learn more about how the community is using OCS. If you have used OCS in the past, we’d very much like to hear about your experiences.

Please share this message with anyone you think might be interested in the future of OCS.

If you have any questions, please contact us.

  1. Brad says:

OCS is a valid and relevant tool for the community. The system is well received, well used across institutions and fills an important gap in conference management activities.

  2. Please resume the development of the OCS system , make it more robust, it is an important system for our school.
