PKP’s founder and director John Willinsky was recently interviewed by Editage Insights, a one-stop, cross-discipline learning and knowledge-sharing portal for academics, researchers, journals, and research publication professionals.

In the first part of the Skype-based video interview, John discusses the changes and challenges in academic communication and talks about public knowledge as an idea that goes beyond simply embracing open access–it embodies the transformative capacity of open access for the whole of society.

In the second part, Dr. Willinsky goes on to discuss open access initiatives and who would stand to lose if such initiatives were to fully succeed.
