Problems with standard e-mails

Postby James U » Wed Apr 27, 2005 8:59 am

I am having two problems with the set of automatic e-mails.

When assigned a paper, our first editor said that the standard e-mail sent out barely passed his spam filter, because the "From" address was his own address.

The other problem is that the e-mail he received was the default e-mail. I had changed the editorial assignment e-mail earlier, and this modified version still comes up when I look in the administration section.

What might the problem be? Thank you for your time and let me know if I can give more information that would be helpful.

I did find in submissions.php changing:

$mailbody = $chDefaultBody;

$mailbody = $chBody;

of course set the e-mail to what I wanted, rather than the default (a simple oversight).

And I changed the $headers to be hardcoded as a certain e-mail address. I don't know if this will better the spam rating anyhow.
