author conflict

Postby ttrecai » Wed Feb 09, 2005 3:09 pm

I do not want to register as users the authors other than the author who logged in system to send the article.

Is there any way or which code do I need to change.

Prevent automatic registration of authors

Postby ramon » Thu Feb 10, 2005 2:24 pm

Why would want to prevent automatic registration of co-authors?

This feature helps you keep good track of authors, as well as assist probable authors in submitting to your journal.

If you use the user area, either the authors or users area, you can send an email containing user login and password so they may in the future submit their work without having to register. The data has been input anyway, why not use it?

Because some of the corresponding authors re-register the co-authors by mistake,
I want to save the co-authors only as authors, not as users.
