Two New Journals

Postby jkeisers » Wed Dec 29, 2004 1:21 pm

Rutgers University Libraries recently launched two OJS-based journals:

* PCSP - Pragmatic Case Studies in Psychotherapy -
* EJBE - Electronic Journal of Boundary Elements -

For these journals, we use a modified version of OJS. Among the modifications are a new Search mechanism, XML export, RSS feed, and a database-driven content management system combined with a WYSIWYG Editor that enables the journal editors to manage the web-based content of the journal without the help of a webmaster. Managing the journal is based on the "self-service" principle.

For each published article the E-Journal generates an XML object for our Digital Library Repository, which is based on 'Fedora' - The XML object contains information enabling the generation of a Persistent Identifier (PID) for each published article. We are running a Handle server for the PID's. You can see one of these 'handles' here:

Thank you.
