"Hiding" submission and review

Postby ramon » Mon Apr 29, 2013 1:15 pm

Hello all,

I'm pretty sure there isn't (I looked at conference configuration and schedule pages, but couldn't find anything that would fit"), so I post here so someone could give me a solution:
I need to "hide" the submission and review page links (apparently from the schedule) as they won't be used.
Of course, this means that OCS is NOT the tool for this particular event, as with many others that IBICT hosts or organizes, but somehow, they lack the courage or other breakthrough to understand this.
So, we end up having to hack the system in order for it to suit these needs (which any other CMS would probably do!).

Anyway, if anyone has ever had to do this, I'd like to know, have a short description or list of templates modified, etc...

Hi Ramón,

This is an oft-requested feature, and we generally call it "OCS Lite" internally. We're in discussions with another group who is interested in implementing it, and if they do get started, we'll ask them to post here so that any other interested parties can coordinate.

Ideally, we'd like OCS to be useful for people who want to use it as a publishing and coordination tool, even though our focus is generally review and workflow.
