Proxy configuration

Postby ntorres » Wed Nov 07, 2012 4:15 am

We recently upgrade our OJS installation to 2.3.7 . Now we need to work with proxy, so we configure options to use it and it seems that everything works fine except the native plugin import.
When the article galley is a pdf file located in external URL there's a problem to get it. The apache log shows a network problem. We traceroute requests thow proxy and detect that Native ImportExport Plugin is not using proxy configuration on

We need to configure somethig else? How we can force plugin to work using proxy=

Hi Natalia,

I've filed this issue at In the meantime, another approach would be to embed the content directly in the import XML using base64 encoding (see the <embed> element). Alternately, modifying the import/export code to use a proxy would involve modifying the "copy" function in lib/pkp/classes/file/ to use stream context options (see stream_context_create and the $resource parameter to the copy function. (This will require PHP >=5.3.)
