Journal subscriptions

Postby laurakz » Mon Dec 05, 2011 9:09 am

I see that users must register for each journal separately. Is there a way for admin to set it up, where users would be able to register for more than one journal at a time? (Perhaps, where users can see a journal listing and click on those they wish to subscribe to) If not, is this something in development?

Hi laurakz,

Since most journals have their own specific access and subscription policies, this model is supported by OJS. Readers thus need to register for each journal individually if they wish to access content or purchase a subscription.

There are currently no plans to add support for the use-case that you identify here, but it may be something that we consider for a future release if there's sufficient demand from the user community.
