Can we not eliminate the SPAM?

Postby jamief » Wed Nov 11, 2009 1:54 am

What are the possibilities to adding some kind of anti-spam system to this forum to eliminate these insistent ridiculous posts that keep cropping up every few days?

Hi Jamie,

I'll be instituting some further spam protection measures later on today (as well as a couple of other forum enhancements). It's certainly a PITA to have them flood in, but believe me when I say this is better than it used to be. The major anti-spam feature we'll be adding is a block to disallow first-time posters URL-linking post rights.
