reCaptcha help needed

Postby Pino » Mon Apr 01, 2013 2:22 am

I just upgrade my ojs 2.3.7 to the latest ojs 2.4.2
The problem is, I can't seem to get the reCaptcha feature to work.
Even the normal captcha did not work in the old version (2.3.7) although the font location was correct.

I have entered my public and private key in the, and removed the semicolon.

Code: Select all

; Whether to use reCaptcha instead of default Captcha
recaptcha = on

; Public key for reCaptcha (see
recaptcha_public_key = <my public key>

; Private key for reCaptcha (see
recaptcha_private_key = <my private key>

but there's no reCaptcha validation on the registration page. :(
Any idea how to enable it?

Thank you. :)

Hi Pino,

Below those options, have you enabled the captcha_on_register option?

Hello asmecher,

Yes, I have enabled all the options.
Also I've made lots of tests using localhost (by using xampp), it seem to work, but in real server, it does not.
Is there anything on the server that might make reCaptcha not working?
