Registering a Domain Name

Postby metricgravity » Sun Sep 09, 2012 3:37 am

Hi.

I am managing the website for an OJS journal. We have not yet registered a domain name for the site. To register a domain name, would I go through Open Journal Systems? Or is it my responsibility to register a domain name with an external domain registrar?

Thank you,
metricgravity

Hi metricgravity,

You should probably do this through an external registrar. After that, you'd simply adjust the DNS settings to point your domain name to the server you are hosting your OJS installation on.

Regards,
Jason
