Error in adding an article -newbie question

Postby parasko » Wed Feb 20, 2008 10:17 pm

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum and using OJS for the first time.

I wish to add an article to a newly created issue of our journal. The system does not allow me to move through the five stages of submitting an article and the error message I receive is 'This journal is not accepting submissions at this time'.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.

Hi parasko,

Can you doublecheck that you have created at least one journal section that non-editorial users can submit to? You can do this under Journal Manager --> User Home --> Journal Sections. Make sure to look at the sections you have listed there by clicking 'edit', and checking the section restrictions.

Cheers,
James

Hi James.

I haven't uploaded the articles as yet but your advice does permit me to go through the five stage process.

Very helpful James.

Cheers.
