Languages in 2.2

Postby mnason » Wed Oct 03, 2007 6:57 am

Hey there,

This is probably a rookie question but this is my first beta test of OJS since MacGregor left us in the spring and I'm still learning. Are there new language packs for 2.2 that we should have for the beta or will the older ones work fine?

Thanks.

Hi Mike,

The beta test happens before the language packs get updated, so the packs that the beta test package includes are pretty close to the stock OJS 2.1.1 language packs. Many localization keys have changed or been added in the English locale since then, so you'll see a lot of ##locale.key.name.here## messages if you view the user interface in other languages. That aside, they should be good enough for multi-locale testing.

Hi Mike,

Just to confirm -- several locales are checked under the Site Administrator's Language page under "Supported Locales", but going into the Journal Manager's Languages page, no languages are available under "Supported Locales"? If so, that's a bug.
