The upload destination folder does not appear to be writable

Postby ganesh » Thu Jun 19, 2014 5:58 am

Dear Sir,

My website has just shifted to different IP address.
Now, when I am trying to upload an image on the website using the OJS the error message occurred "The upload destination folder does not appear to be writable."
The same type of error also appeared when we trying to upload the header image of the journal.

Kindly provide a solution.

Regards

Ganesh

Hi Ganesh,

Check the file permissions on both your public and files directories. There is some documentation both in the FAQ and in the README document describing file permissions.

Dear Alec

Thanks for your reply

The public and files folders have 755 permission.

Kindly let me know what I do.

Regards

Ganesh

Ganesh,

Who is the owner of the files? It should be your Apache user, usually "apache" or "nobody".
