Archives and sets

Postby josipkp » Wed Jun 10, 2009 7:58 pm

We are collecting from some repositories that have different sets and we would like to separate this sets in different archives – to allow in the future, to create filter by areas or by countries.

For example: browse just in thesis, or just in journals, or in books, and so; or browse just for material from Latin America, or from Portugal, or from Spain, and so.

Then, we think to separate one repository in more than one entry, harvesting different sets in each one, but the Harvester2 does not permit that. There is a reason for do not permit the same URL OAI when adding archives or it is just a warning?

Do you suggest any other direction?
Thanks in advance,
Josi Perez

Hi Josi,

It's just a warning to help prevent duplicates. If you'd like to allow duplicates, you can disable the check by editing plugins/harvesters/oai/ and commenting out the line (approx. line 62):

Code: Select all

$form->addCheck(new FormValidatorCustom($form, 'harvesterUrl', 'required', 'plugins.harvester.oai.archive.form.harvesterUrlDuplicate', array(&$this, 'duplicateHarvesterUrlDoesNotExist'), array(Request::getUserVar('archiveId'))));
