Sponsor Images

Postby dsully » Fri Jan 31, 2014 8:22 am

Dear all,

How do you get numerous clickable sponsor images to appear on the conference homepage? I have used html to input clickable logos in the sponsor section, but can't get them all to appear. I am looking for something like this: http://pkp.sfu.ca/pkp2013/

Thanks,
David

Hi David,

As far as I know, those are just edits to the footer template. Straight HTML with anchor and image tags.

So does OCS have a way to include sponsors on the homepage?

Hi David,

See e.g. the "Additional Home Content" field in Website Management, step 2.

Alec,

I'm not sure if this is an issue only with my server, but the additional homepage content value is not used. I can't get it to actually display on the homepage where it says it will be posted. However, it is properly being saved in my database, it just isn't used. This could be a bug with OCS, since my tpl files appear to properly call the additionalHomeContent value to be placed on the homepage.

Thanks,
David

Hi David,

What page are you looking for that content on -- the OCS site homepage, the conference homepage, or the scheduled conference homepage, or something else?

Hi Alec,

I was looking for it on the scheduled conference homepage. I was able to make it appear there by populating the sponsor information within the handler for that page, but OCS didn't display it without my revision of the handler.

Thanks,
David

Hi David,

Can you describe the modification you made?
