Reviewer performance reporting - detail on reviewer declines

Postby thebigchuckster » Wed Apr 21, 2010 6:23 pm

Hi all,

am just curious if anyone has had to produce detailed reports on reviewer activity - in particular, declines per Reviewer. And if so, how did you go about it?

We have editorial boards for all our journals (who come from our wider population of reviewers) and several external editors have been asking for stats on the reviewers who decline.

The data is obviously there but much of the reviewer reporting is summary in nature and the article report (I believe) only show active reviewers for a particular submission.

We're also looking at adding some extra fields on reviewers to:
- indicate whether they are post-graduates and/or editorial board members
- disable the account for a time period to allow for sabbaticals, extended leave, etc.
but I suspect these will be weighed up against our time budget for OJS user-support.

note: this expands on an earlier post about author statistics (clicky).
