Publishing an item; what to do to remove "1 in Editing"?

Postby akkurtb » Sun Jul 20, 2014 9:32 am

Hello,
We have started recently to accept submissions on JOTCSA (http://dergipark.ulakbim.gov.tr/jotcsa). We think we did everything needed, but we have still these:
Editor, Layout Editor, Copyeditor, and Proofreader: 1 in Editing.
Editor: An action is required in the proofreading stage.
Layout Editor: Proofread.
Copyeditor: Final Copyedit Completed.
Proofreader: Post-Author.

What we should do? We have scheduled the submission be published in Vol. 1, Issue 2, 2014 and Vol. 1, Issue 1 is reserved to a meeting (not yet started). The Editor can see the issue and its Table of Contents, having the submission, so what is wrong and the item is still in editing?

Thanking you,
Dr. Barbaros Akkurt, PhD
Journal manager, JOTCSA

Hi akkurtb,

Is the item that's still In Editing scheduled to an issue that's not published yet? If so, that's probably why it's still listed as in progress -- publishing the issue is one of the triggers that will change an article's status.

Yes, sir, you are absolutely right; the item that is still in Editing is part of an issue that has not been published yet. So I presume everything will be alright when we publish this issue on December. Thank you for the clarification.
