Review Remind

Postby PereC » Thu Jun 26, 2014 3:02 pm

In our journal, if the reviewer has not responded to review request within 7 days, instead of receivend the message REVIEW REMIND or REVIEW REMIND ONECLICK ("We were hoping to have this review by {$reviewDueDate}, and would be pleased to receive it as soon as you are able to prepare it. If you do not have your username and password [...] Please confirm your ability to complete this vital contribution to the work of the journal"), he receives the same message which is sent within 5 days after review’s due date, that is to say REVIEW REMIND AUTO or REVIEW REMIND AUTO ONE CLICK ("We were hoping to have this review by {$reviewDueDate}, and this email has been automatically generated and sent with the passing of that date. We would still be pleased to receive it as soon as you are able to prepare it.").

What can be done to solve this problem? That is to say, that different messages are sent after the date in which the reviewer should have accepted or refused to do the review and the date in which (if he has accepted) the review should be finished.

Thank in advance for any help.

Hi PereC,

These two reminder cases intentionally use the same templates -- we've been hesitant to separate them into two, because there are already two modes for each to operate in, thus we'd double the number of templates for each language. However, we've had this request a number of times, so there's an active bug entry open for it:
