Library Publishing Coalition survey

Postby Karen » Thu May 30, 2013 10:03 pm

On behalf of the Library Publishing Coalition:

Dear Colleagues,

The Library Publishing Coalition (LPC) is compiling a Directory of Library Publishing Services in order to promote collaboration, networking, and knowledge-sharing within the community and raise the visibility of library publishing services. We invite you to complete this questionnaire about your library publishing activities/program. You will find the questionnaire here:

The answers that you provide will be used to create an entry in the first edition of the Directory of Library Publishing Services. Don't miss this opportunity to give your library publishing services broad exposure and highlight your involvement in this growing community. The questionnaire will close on Friday, June 14, 2013.
The LPC, which is currently being founded by over 55 academic libraries and the Educopia Institute, supports libraries and practitioners in the increasingly important area of library publishing. Library publishing services range from providing editorial support and/or hosting of faculty and student journals, to providing an institutional repository for previously unpublished content such as ETDs. The Directory of Library Publishing Services will serve as an important tool for libraries wishing to learn about this emerging field, connect with their peers, and align their practices with those of the broader community. The first edition of the Directory will be openly available on the web and will include contact information, descriptions, and other key facts about each library's publishing services. A print version will also be made available for purchase.

The questionnaire has 34 questions and takes between 20 and 45 minutes to complete. We strongly recommend that you preview the questions before starting the questionnaire. Each institution should complete only ONE questionnaire. Please check this list of institutions that have responded before you begin.
Please let me know if you have any questions or comments. We look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,
Sarah Lippincott
