Quick Questions About OJS

Postby hehe » Tue Jan 07, 2014 3:11 am

Hey everyone. First of all, thanks for this good software. I have some quick questions about OJS in general. Thanks in advance.

Can I change the submission file size limit? I guess that's possible. I checked google and I have to edit some config files. That's OK.
Can I change the supplementary files' size limit?
Can I change the file types that are allowed? For example, can I give permission for users to upload -let's say- abc file type?
Is there an author limit in submission? Can I add 12 authors to a submission? What's the maximum number for that?
Is there a limit for the "message to editor" box in submission page?
Can I resume the submissions that I quit before completing?

Thank you very much.

Hi hehe,

All file upload limits are configured in the PHP and web server configuration; OJS doesn't impose additional limits.

For submissions, all file types are allowed. Limiting those would require code modifications.

There is no limit to the number of authors attached to a submission.

The "message to editor" field is limited to the size of the database field, generally 64k IIRC.

Submissions can be resumed and completed later.
