SUMMARY:Plug It In: Connecting OJS to Scholarly Infrastructure
DESCRIPTION:This session introduces the key settings\, workflows\, and metadata practices that help journals connect OJS to the wider scholarly communications ecosystem. Participants will learn where metadata is entered and managed in OJS\, how to configure policies and settings that support indexing services such as DOAJ\, and how to use built-in features and plugins to connect with services like Crossref. The session will also highlight the importance of maintaining these connections through regular platform upgrades and good metadata stewardship.  \n \n\n\nAudience Learning Outcomes\n\n\nUnderstand that OJS is designed to connect to many outside systems (especially indexers like DOAJ and digital infrastructure providers like Crossref) and the importance of taking advantage of these systems\nUnderstand how and where metadata is entered into OJS\, and the importance of best metadata practices \nUnderstand how and where to configure important policies and relevant settings for indexers like DOAJ \nUnderstand which plugins/core features can be used to connect to services like Crossref \nUnderstand the importance of upgrading to maintain interoperability connections \n\n\n\n\nSpeakers\n\n\nMüge Bakioğlu\nPublication Support Specialist / PKP \n\n\nMike Nason\nOpen Scholarly Infrastructure Advisor / PKP \n\n\n\n\nRegister for this event\n\n Plug It In: Connecting OJS to Scholarly Infrastructure registration form (#19)First NameLast NameEmailInstitutionJob TitleCountrySelect CountryAfghanistanAland IslandsAlbaniaAlgeriaAmerican SamoaAndorraAngolaAnguillaAntarcticaAntigua and BarbudaArgentinaArmeniaArubaAustraliaAustriaAzerbaijanBahamasBahrainBangladeshBarbadosBelarusBelgiumBelizeBeninBermudaBhutanBoliviaBonaire\, Saint Eustatius and SabaBosnia and HerzegovinaBotswanaBouvet IslandBrazilBritish Indian Ocean TerritoryBritish Virgin IslandsBruneiBulgariaBurkina FasoBurundiCabo VerdeCambodiaCameroonCanadaCayman IslandsCentral African RepublicChadChileChinaChristmas IslandCocos (Keeling) IslandsColombiaComorosCook IslandsCosta RicaCroatiaCubaCuraçaoCyprusCzech RepublicDemocratic Republic of the Congo (Kinshasa)DenmarkDjiboutiDominicaDominican RepublicEcuadorEgyptEl SalvadorEquatorial GuineaEritreaEstoniaEswatiniEthiopiaFalkland IslandsFaroe IslandsFijiFinlandFranceFrench GuianaFrench PolynesiaFrench Southern TerritoriesGabonGambiaGeorgiaGermanyGhanaGibraltarGreeceGreenlandGrenadaGuadeloupeGuamGuatemalaGuernseyGuineaGuinea-BissauGuyanaHaitiHeard Island and McDonald IslandsHondurasHong KongHungaryIcelandIndiaIndonesiaIranIraqIrelandIsle of ManIsraelItalyIvory CoastJamaicaJapanJerseyJordanKazakhstanKenyaKiribatiKosovoKuwaitKyrgyzstanLaosLatviaLebanonLesothoLiberiaLibyaLiechtensteinLithuaniaLuxembourgMacao S.A.R.\, ChinaMadagascarMalawiMalaysiaMaldivesMaliMaltaMarshall IslandsMartiniqueMauritaniaMauritiusMayotteMexicoMicronesiaMoldovaMonacoMongoliaMontenegroMontserratMoroccoMozambiqueMyanmarNamibiaNauruNepalNetherlandsNew CaledoniaNew ZealandNicaraguaNigerNigeriaNiueNorfolk IslandNorth KoreaNorth MacedoniaNorthern Mariana IslandsNorwayOmanPakistanPalauPalestinian TerritoryPanamaPapua New GuineaParaguayPeruPhilippinesPitcairnPolandPortugalPuerto RicoQatarRepublic of the Congo (Brazzaville)RomaniaRussiaRwandaRéunionSaint BarthélemySaint HelenaSaint Kitts and NevisSaint LuciaSaint Martin (Dutch part)Saint Martin (French part)Saint Pierre and MiquelonSaint Vincent and the GrenadinesSamoaSan MarinoSao Tome and PrincipeSaudi ArabiaSenegalSerbiaSeychellesSierra LeoneSingaporeSlovakiaSloveniaSolomon IslandsSomaliaSouth AfricaSouth Georgia/Sandwich IslandsSouth KoreaSouth SudanSpainSri LankaSudanSurinameSvalbard and Jan MayenSwedenSwitzerlandSyriaTaiwanTajikistanTanzaniaThailandTimor-LesteTogoTokelauTongaTrinidad and TobagoTunisiaTurkmenistanTurks and Caicos IslandsTuvaluTürkiyeUgandaUkraineUnited Arab EmiratesUnited Kingdom (UK)United States (US)United States (US) Minor Outlying IslandsUnited States (US) Virgin IslandsUruguayUzbekistanVanuatuVaticanVenezuelaVietnamWallis and FutunaWestern SaharaYemenZambiaZimbabwe I consent to allow PKP's website to store my submitted information in order to respond to inquiries related to this event I agree to receive communications related to this event from PKPSubmit Form \n \n\n\n\nTime Zone\nAll webinar times are shown in Pacific Time (Vancouver).
