Most of the column titles in most of the grids are not useful. Consider hiding them? Reviewing to see which are actually useful? Needs discussion and proposals.

(If we do away with titles, how do we manage ordering?)

I think you meant sorting.

Here is a list with all grids and their respective screenshots. The ones that share same colunms and structure are represented by only one example.

In general, I think that we can hide the column names from all file list and selectable files grids. There are some other small cases that are described in the document:

Related to sorting, if a grid needs that functionality, I think we will have to make the column names visible again. That's the most common way to do sorting and I don't think we need to introduce something new.

Maybe when the column names are hidden we can present a sort link action to bring them back. Then user can click on column names to sort the items. If user clicks anywhere else inside the page, the column names disappear again.

Thanks, Bruno.

To me this is not clear-cut. Since it's a very UI-related issue I would rather wait until the results of the UI/UX review to make a decision on it. Deferring to 3.0b.
