Description Joseph Daddario 2011-10-20 07:01:41 PDT
When it happens that a user has an unusually long username, or contains some other markup that causes the table cells to stretch, often leaving the last column unavailable.

An optimal solution would involve only modifying the CSS associated with problem tables. In an attempt I modified around line 32 of /lib/pkp/styles/common.css:

	table {
		border: 0;
		border-spacing: 0;
		font-size: 1.0em;
+		table-layout: fixed;
+	table td {
+		overflow: hidden;
+	}

Unfortunately this causes all the column widths to be set to equal widths, making certain strings difficult to read (like article title.)

...will provide patch as soon as positive solution is found.

adding "white-space: nowrap;" to "table td {}" eliminates nasty wrapping -- although each column is equally visible, much information is still obfuscated.
