See http://www.crossref.org/CrossTech/2010/03/dois_and_linked_data_some_conc.html and http://www.crossref.org/CrossTech/2011/04/content_negotiation_for_crossr.html. Add linked data to article landing page headers if the journal is generating Crossref DOIs.

Some notes:

-- this information should go on the article landing (abstract/details) page, and probably also on the article view (HTML & PDF galleys) pages -- probably just into templates/article/header.tpl

-- this should be opt-in/out, and probably makes sense to develop as a plugin

-- I need to investigate exactly how many alternate types we can specify -- eg. text/html, application/pdf, etc.
