Description James MacGregor 2008-11-17 14:31:44 PST
Conference Managers can currently specify in Scheduled Conference Setup Step 2.1 the following:

Type of Submission
[] Enable individual presentations, submitted by authors
[] Enable multiple-presentation sessions, submitted by panel organizers

It would be nice to extend this to allow Conference Managers to create their own submission types per scheduled conference (for example, breakout sessions, workshops, 60-minute vs. 120-minute presentations, etc.). The "Conference Tracks" option doesn't cover this necessarily -- you might have three different tracks, but several different type of session per track. It might be worth grouping this functionality with Conference Tracks, essentially extending it to "Conference Track and Submission Types".

This might be a duplicate of or at least complementary to Bug 2919.

This functionality has been added (possibly as part of Bug 4086?). Closing.
