Description Alec Smecher 2006-06-29 09:55:05 PDT
In case of collisions and to support multiple OJS 2.x installations in the same
database, add support for table name prefixes (e.g. my_users instead of users).
In addition to modifying every query in OJS, the schema tools need to be
modified to support this option. ADODB has a $schema->SetPrefix function that
should help with this.

Deferring for now. We haven't had much call for this.

I'd like to add support for this suggestion. My host only allows me to use one database, and I use several different CMSs, which is very difficult unless table name prefixes are used.

Jacob, there are a lot of reasons why mixing several applications in the same database is a bad idea. We have had very few calls for table prefix support, and it would represent quite a bit of work. For these reasons it's a low priority for us. If this is a showstopper I would suggest finding a host that allows multiple databases in one account; these are very common and inexpensive.
