2022 Coalition Publica Call for Applications
Coalition Publica, a partnership between Érudit and the Public Knowledge Project (PKP), has announced its 2022 call for applications. Canadian social sciences and humanities (SSH) scholarly journals wishing to be disseminated on the Érudit platform (erudit.org) as of January 2022 are invited to apply before Sunday, April 11, 2021.
Established in 2017, Coalition Publica is a partnership between Érudit and the Public Knowledge Project to advance research dissemination and digital scholarly publishing in Canada. Together, we are supporting the Canadian SSH journal community in the transition towards sustainable open access through the development of a non-commercial, open source national infrastructure that combines PKP’s Open Journal Systems (OJS) software and Érudit’s digital dissemination platform (erudit.org).
Through Coalition Publica, PKP and Érudit offer Canadian journals a suite of harmonized services, providing journals and library publishers with a cost-effective, made-in-Canada solution that supports the journal publication process from submission through review and production, to dissemination and preservation.
The 2022 Call for Applications offers the possibility for Canadian SSH journals to benefit from the services of Coalition Publica and to begin dissemination on the erudit.org platform in 2022. Journals must meet a number of criteria and complete an application form (see Call for Applications). Their application will then be evaluated by Érudit’s Scientific Committee, who will approve, reject or outline conditions for the inclusion of the journal on the erudit.org platform.
