OCUL-PKP Librarian, Publisher Webinar this July 31

By Kevin Stranack

Are you considering hosting or managing a journal? Do you work with students who want to start one? Are you wondering about the time commitment, workload, and logistics of the process? This summer, the OCUL-PKP partnership group is hosting a webinar series entitled Librarian, Publisher. The series is designed for those at the early stages of developing their publishing support, or who simply wish to get a better understanding of the process.

In part two, join panelists Dale Askey (McMaster), Pat Moore (Carleton), and Andrea Kosavic (York) for a discussion of frequently asked questions about library publishing: what’s the time commitment? How do you develop a terms-of-use policy? How do you market what you’ve made? And who pays for it all??
