Important Bug Fix for OJS 2.2.x

The PKP team has identified a bug in PayPal payment management in OJS 2.2.x.

It is recommended that all users of OJS 2.2.x follow the instructions provided in the PKP support forum to patch their OJS install:

eScholarship Launches New Submission Management System

We're very pleased to learn that the California Digital Library's eScholarship service is using OJS. They are doing tremendous work and it is great to have OJS being part of that.

3rd Edition of Spanish Course on OJS and Scholarly Publishing Now Available Online

The University of Murcia (Spain) is now providing the 3d edition of a course, in Spanish, on using Open Journal Systems in a scholarly publishing environment. Titled Electronic Publishing of Scholar Journals with Open Journal Systems (OJS), the course will explore the current issues surrounding the electronic publishing of scholar journals, and will fully explore the web application OJS.

The course is taught online in a virtual learning environment, and so is open to anyone in the world. Students must have Internet access and an email account for its completion.

OJS now compliant with OpenAIRE: New plug-in released

Open Journal Systems (OJS) now includes a plug-in to support authors’ compliance with the European open access policies, i.e. the European Commission’s Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) Open Access Pilot and the European Research Council (ERC) Scientific Council Guidelines for Open Access. While submitting their articles to an OJS-based journal authors can now easily acknowledge the related project funding.
