Hello,

We are using an multiple journal OJS 2.x instalation.

A Journal Manager of our system wants to create a page to store all the covers of the issues of his Journal. He wants to create a kind of gallery containg all covers from the issues he has already published. Is it possible to create a dynamic page where one can see these covers, and by clicking in a cover the user is send to the summary of that issue's covers.

Does anyone has already done something near to this?
Could anyone help us doing this?

Thanks all,
Renato

Hi Renato,

I'm not aware of anyone having done this before, but it would certainly be a good candidate for a plugin.

Hi Renato,

If you haven't had a look at the OJS Technical Reference, it's available from the Documentation section of the OJS website. Its current revision relates to OJS 2.1.1, but have not changed structurally for OJS 2.2. (We'll be updating this soon.)

If you want to create a cover gallery, you'll want to write a "generic" plugin (which will reside e.g. in plugins/generic/coverGallery in your OJS installation). Have a look at the counter plugin (plugins/generic/counter) as a general example of a plugin that introduces a new page.
