When new users register, everything seems to go smoothly, until they try to log in with their brand new username and password, at which point they are rejected with the message "Invalid username or password. Please try again."
If they click on the "Forgot your password?" link, again everything goes smoothly with the emails being sent to the right address and a new password generated, but again, they can't log in. Same error message.
If I go in as Journal Manager and change their passwords by hand, again everything seems to be working, but still they can't log in.

As Site Administrator, check your Authentication Sources settings to make sure that the OJS User Database is chosen.
