Submission Preparation Checklist - default values

What to do if you have a technical problem with OJS:

1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

2. Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved.

3. Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OJS Editorial Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the OJS Development subforum.

I mistakenly deleted the five or six checkboxes & text fields under the Submission Preparation Checklist in the Journal Setup. Can anyone provide the original text for these fields?

Hi Matt,

The defaults are:
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • When available, the URLs to access references online are provided, including those for open access versions of the reference. The URLs are ready to click (e.g., <a href="http://pkp.sfu.ca">http://pkp.sfu.ca</a>).
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the <a href="{$indexUrl}/{$journalPath}/about/submissions#authorGuidelines">Author Guidelines</a>, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in <a href="javascript:openHelp('{$indexUrl}/{$journalPath}/help/view/editorial/topic/000044')">Ensuring a Blind Review</a>) have been followed.
You'll have to fill in the URLs with appropriate values for your own journal.
