Hi Tarkhorani,

Typically, the Author will send the Editor an email when a new revision has been uploaded; however, if he or she doesn't, the date of the file (e.g. beside the Author Version at the bottom of the submission's Review page) should indicate that it is a recent file.

The meanings of the suffixes are:
SM: Original submission file
RV: Review file
ED: Editor file
CE: Copyeditor file
LE: Layout editor file
PB: Public file (e.g. published HTML)
SP: Supplementary file
NT: Article note
AT: File attachment

I can see this:

Review Version 34-70-1-RV.doc 2007-07-19
Author Version 34-97-1-ED.doc 2007-08-02

why the author version has ED that is for editor version?

Hi tarkhorani,

The suffix being used will depend on the process a submission has gone through, and it's not always clear what the suffix should be because of the many paths a submission can take (e.g. the Editor can upload a Reviewer Version on behalf of the Reviewer). If this is the original submission file and it's appearing as an -ED, what version of OJS are you using?

Hi tarkhorani,

And is the -ED file the original submission file, i.e. the file that the author uploaded during the submission process?
