Forum rules
What to do if you have a technical problem with OJS:

1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

2. Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved.

3. Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OJS Editorial Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the OJS Development subforum.

Hi pramote,

I've had a few reports of this problem when using the GNU Patch tool on Windows. http://drupal.org/node/60116 describes the problem and suggests a work-around using Wordpad; please report back here whether or not the solution worked. You'll probably have to apply the patch manually (rather than via the tools/upgrade.php script) and if necessary I can provide instructions.

thank Alec. Using WordPad to open and re-save it as txt file worked for me.

But one problem is now the side-bar (search box) moved to the top of the page !

Hi pramote,

I suspect this is a stylesheet issue; try temporarily restoring OJS to its default stylesheet (i.e. by removing the journal stylesheet from Journal Setup page 5) to see if that corrects the problem. If so, you'll need to review your stylesheet.
