1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

2. Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved.

3. Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OJS Editorial Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the OJS Development subforum.

[Solved] Bug: Several In Review Articles became Unassigned

Postby yaliang » Fri Jun 29, 2007 7:59 am

Dear Friends,

Today, I encountered a strange bug with our OJS (v.2.1.1). There are several articles become Unassigned. I think this might be an error or bug of the DB. The unassigned/review parameter was altered. Is it correct? Could you give me some suggestions to fix the problem and recover the review data? Thank you very much.
Best Regards,

Yaliang

Dear Friends,

The problem has been figured out and solved. This is a very strange limitation (setting or bug).
Problem: In our OJS, there are two journals hosted. Yesterday, a Section Editor (SE) of Journal B was enrolled as an Editor of Journal A. Then, several submissions assigned to the SE became Unassigned and the SE was not able to access those submissions, include the one in editing.
Solution: After the SE was also enrolled as an Editor of Journal B, the problem was magically solved. The review data of the submissions were automatically recovered and they were disappeared from the Unassigned list.
