Submissions automatically assigned to section editors

Postby bernardforgues » Tue Jun 05, 2007 12:39 am

Hi,

Our journal has several section editors.
Upon submission, authors are asked wich section they are submitting to.

Is there a way to have the corresponding section editor notified about the new submission, rather than everything going through the editor?

Thanks!
Bernard

Hi Bernard,

Yes -- in OJS 2.2, when it is released, any section editors who are assigned to the section the article has been submitted to will be assigned to the submission.

Hi Alec,

Cool feature, thanks!

And I guess section editors will receive an email notifying them about the submission, right?

Cheers,
Bernard

Hi Bernard,

Yes, they'll be BCC'd on the submission confirmation email.
