Harvester2 only harvest 1 record

Hello ...

i have trouble with harvester2 when harvesting from my oai repository (which using Physnet phpoai = unqualified dc). harvester2 cannot harvest next record. only 1 record that harvested into harvester2. (actually in my oai repository have a lot of records)

FYI, here's my webserver info that running harvester2. Anyone here can help ?

OS platform Linux (Fedora Core 4)
PHP version 5.0.4
Apache version Apache/2.0.54 (Fedora) DAV/2 PHP/5.0.4 mod_python/3.1.4 Python/2.4.1 mod_ssl/2.0.54 OpenSSL/0.9.7f mod_perl/1.999.22 Perl/v5.8.6
Database driver mysql
Database server version 4.1.20

Hi Andre,

Generally this means that PHP's XML parser encountered an illegal character, such as Latin1 data in a UTF-8 XML document. Try using an XML validator such as xmllint to ensure that the encoding is correct. Alternately, could you either post here or send me the OAI URL so that I can verify?

Hi Andre,

This archive appears to violate the OAI standard, as every record has the same identifier. See http://www.openarchives.org/OAI/openarchivesprotocol.html#UniqueIdentifier for more information.

now i can harvest all my record into harvester2, it works perfect.

Hi Haoua,

The current release of the Harvester does not serve as an OAI data source; extracting data from it into another system will require a database-level conversion. There was a user on this forum who mentioned that the development of data provider functionality was under way; perhaps they could comment here.
