Forum rules
What to do if you have a technical problem with OJS:

1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

2. Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved.

3. Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OJS Editorial Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the OJS Development subforum.

Hi ,

I installed a ojs1.1.10 version and when I have submit a Word document on the step 3 I receive the following message from system ( and the file size is 0 Kb):

Warning: filesize(): Stat failed for /www/ojs1.1.10/files/2007/INTRAT-2007-8.doc (errno=2 - No such file or directory) in /intratextos.net/www/ojs1.1.10/ojs/admin/author/step3.php on line 173
0 KB

But when I apply chmod 0775 at the /files directory using SmartFTP the the record is done (showing 0 Kb yet). May I automate the upload permission? I tried to do by Putty using chmod -Rf 0775 /www/ojs1.1.10/files but I didn't got it success.

Please,

could you help me?

Thank you very so much

Hi Andre,

If the file is being created successfully but with a size of 0k, the problem is most likely due to the PHP upload configuration. Check the upload limits in php.ini -- the upload_max_filesize directive, post_max_size, and if you're using Apache 2, its LimitRequestBody configuration option.
